IPT 11-03 Engineering Technician II - Patuxent River, MD
IPT Corp seeks an Engineering Technician to join the AN/USN-3 Joint Precision Approach and Landing System (JPALS) In-Service Engineering Activity (ISEA) field technician team. Support JPALS system installation and maintenance at the Landing Systems Test Facilities (LSTF) at Naval Air Station (NAS) Patuxent River, MD. Work as part of a dynamic team tasked with troubleshooting, repairing, and upgrading deployed JPALS systems. Will be required to travel up to 25% worldwide. Must be capable of climbing ladders and lifting 50 pounds.

Responsibilities:
- Provides maintenance, test and integration support for test evolutions at the Systems Integration Lab (SIL) at the Landing Systems Test Facilities (LSTF) at NAS Patuxent River, MD and JPALS installations aboard US Navy ships.
- Develops test plans and procedures.
- Develops and maintains certification procedures.
- Installs, maintains, operates, and repairs shipboard representative systems and simulators.
- Updates existing drawings and test procedures.
- Fabricates cable assemblies, including fiber-optic cable assemblies.
- Supports installation, checkout and System Operability Verification Test (SOVT) of newly installed Joint Precision Approach and Landing System (JPALS) on CVN and LH class ships.
Education:
- High School diploma or GED. Completion of technical school, trade school, or advanced armed services technical school curriculum or course of training in electricity, electronics, avionics, mechanics, or engineering technology; or completion of at least thirty (30) semester hours of course studies at a college or university in an engineering, scientific, or technical curriculum.
Minimum Required Experience:
- Over 3 years of experience in troubleshooting and repair of electronic systems.
- Experience using, reviewing, writing, and updating technical documentation such as test plans, technical manuals, and schematics.
Desired Experience:
- Air Traffic Control (ATC) Systems, JPALS, or JPALS system interfaces
- Military electronics training
Clearance: US Citizen with the ability to obtain a DOD Secret clearance.
