IPT 08-30 RF Engineer - all levels - St. Inigoes, MD / Remote as permitted (contingent)
Position Description:
IPT Corp is looking for a junior-, journeyman-, senior-level RF engineer(s) to support shore- and/or ship-based Air Traffic Control and Landing Systems (ATC&LS). The ideal candidate should possess a bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical engineering with a strong interest focus on electromagnetic analysis and design. Familiarity with microwave technology and components such as: waveguides, antennas, couplers, isolators, phased arrays, transmission lines, RF oscillators, and standard RF measurement techniques as applied to RADAR. Programming skills such as C++ , MATLAB, Maple, and/or Python are a plus. Candidate should be self-directed and motivated to extend knowledge as applied to the various ship-based ATC&LS systems and eventually assume responsibilities to:

Clearance: US Citizen with the ability to obtain a DOD Secret clearance. Selected applicants will be subject to a security investigation and will need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.

- Negotiate and respond to Trouble Reports (TR)
- Review and critique engineering packages
- Review and provide comments to draft Engineering Change Proposals (ECP)
- Review and comment on Departure from Spec Information
- Review manufacturers specifications of RF components and create or critique test procedures to verify performance
- Improve system performance with design upgrades
- Create and/or review new specifications
- Assume various other engineering duties performed by the ATC&LS team
Education:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering with a strong focus on electromagnetic analysis and design

Desired Experience:
- Prior RF engineering experience with Civil shore-based and/or Naval Ship/Shore based ATC&LS.
